I completed FINA201 in A semester of 2007 and I found it very enjoyable. The online lectures were comprehensive and sufficient in providing the necessary skills to complete the quantitative part of the paper.

I also very much enjoyed the thursday lectures, where we discussed the framework of the underlying reality, and the contrasting perspectives of reality of groups such as the economist and the saints and sages. I found your critical perspective to be very thought provoking, though after discussions with peers, I felt that often the messages you were attempting to convey were not properly understood by much of the class.

I also enjoyed the discussions regarding happiness, as happiness and contentment are states of being which are often overlooked as individuals strive to maximize their personal wealth (instead of serving others).

Overall I thought the paper to be both intellectually and spiritually stimulating. I think it is commendable that you have included matters regarding happiness in the FINA201 paper as happiness should be the ultimate goal of existence, as opposed to rational, calculating, self interested utility maximisation.

Although most people in the class seemed to have diverse reactions to your teaching style I really enjoyed it. I will be willing to get these notes that you used.

We need more teachers like you that actually teach us what you have researched, your paper on what SME's want was very interesting and very true. Most teachers theach what they have been taught not new theories that they themselves are depeloping. Good luck with your studies in the future and i hope to read more of your articles.
