Call for Student Research Papers
We invite postgraduate students in management and related disciplines to participate in our annual one day Student Research Conference.
We again welcome your research submissions to our annual Spring conference event. The Student Research Conference is a venue for academics throughout New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific region. In it we provide senior students an opportunity to share their research with others in a friendly environment with short presentations and constructive feedback from senior academics in the field.
All presentations will automatically be considered for the 2011 Student Conference Best Presentation Award of $500. All full written papers will be reviewed by a panel of academics for the 2011 Student Conference Best Paper Award of $1000. Accepted abstracts or full papers will be included in the conference proceedings.
Research that addresses theoretical, methodological or empirical issues within a broad range of management related disciplines will be considered.
Multi-disciplinary research that focuses within any of Waikato Management School?s five meta-themes -Organising for Performance, International Competitiveness and Development, Social and Sustainable Development, E-Commerce and ICT Innovation, Wealth Creation for New Zealand ? or addresses other management related topics is invited. Postgraduate students at Doctoral, Masters, Honours or Postgraduate Diploma levels are invited to submit their abstract (500 words or less), or a full written paper (4000 words or less and 100 word abstract) for review to arrive no later than Friday, 26 August 2011 to studentconf@waikato. ac.nz (email subject: SRC submission). Please use Microsoft Word with Times New Roman 12 point font and double spacing. Attach the paper/abstract to your email and provide us with your full name and university affiliation.
Students whose papers or abstracts are accepted for the programme will be notified by email by Friday, 9 September 2011. There is a nominal registration fee of NZ$60 per person to cover costs and lunch. This needs to be paid by Friday, 30 September 2011.
