Hamilton City
Hamilton is New Zealand's fourth largest city, located approximately 130km south of Auckland.
Hamilton is situated on the banks of the Waikato River, in the centre of New Zealand's largest dairy farming region. As a University town, Hamilton is a modern city with a buzzing cafe culture. Hamilton offers visitors many attractions such as the beautiful Hamilton Gardens (covering an area of 58 hectares), Hamilton Zoo and the Waikato Museum of Art and History and the permanent Maori display (featuring Te Winika, a war canoe and a Tainui carving). Hamilton is also within an hour or two of many other tourist attractions, including Waitomo Caves, Rotorua, and Taupo.
Travel to Hamilton
Daily direct flights to Hamilton Airport are available from most urban centres in New Zealand. International flights to Hamilton are available several times per week from Brisbane and Sydney with Pacific Blue.
Alternatively, daily international flights to Auckland Airport are available, and shuttles to Hamilton can be booked through Roadcat or Minibus Express.

University of Waikato Campus
The University of Waikato campus is located in Hillcrest, in the southeast of Hamilton city. To get to the campus from elsewhere in the city, use this map:
The campus is well served by Hamilton city bus routes, with routes 2, 10, 15, and 17 leaving regularly from the Transport Centre on Anglesea Street in the central city (5-10 minutes walk from Novotel or Ibis). Further details of the bus routes are available here. You should allow around 25-30 minutes for bus travel to the university on most routes.
The conference is being held at the Waikato Management School, which is on Hillcrest Road. To find the Management School within the University campus, you can use this map:
Parking will be available in the General parking areas at Gate 10 (on Silverdale Road) which is less than 5 minutes walk from the Management School, or Gate 1 (on Knighton Road) which is about 10-15 minutes walk from the Management School.
